"Ascend"

This is a digital version of my very first oil painting. The meaning behind this piece of art has evolved and changed with me over the years, but it stems from a story of someones spiritual awakening that was communicated to me by a close friend. We were on a flight back from a very influential trip. The experience that was had was explained to me as what I understand my connection with the universe to be, and that is an interwoven connection to every living being & particle on earth. It's very difficult to explain something so complex, yet simple. Our consciousness is like a web that stretches beyond our eyes, the earth flows in synch with every movement we take. She also feels the heat of our neglect, and our bodies and souls feel it too. Everything we put out, we get returned. As above, so below.
